We are first time home buyers and had a general inspection, sewer scope, and asbestos testing done on the popcorn ceiling. We were referred by our realtor to use Top Notch. After reviewing a lot of different companies online and reading many horror stories, we decided to just go with a personal connection. And we are glad we did!
Jeff responded quickly and easily using online resources for signing contracts and taking payment as well as answering all my questions on the phone. He went the extra mile for a test we requested after our initial inspection, including paying for over night testing so we could conduct our final negotiations in our time frame.
Kevin, our inspector, was professional, approachable, and knowledgeable. He took time to answer all our questions and his report was sent by the end of business day which included photos and simple but thorough briefs. Additionally, the serviceman who they contract with to do the sewer scope explained how we could do a simple DIY fix on a protruding access line without having to spend a ton on hiring a professional. He also sent his video and report before the end of the day.
Going into inspections we were nervous and after all was said and done, we felt confident in our purchase. We spent about $700 for inspections and saved about $2500 in repairs and closing costs for issues that needed resolved prior to our appraisal and move in.
At the end of the day, every person we worked with was nice and easy to work with. Genuine people offering professional and thorough services. What more could you ask for?

Jeff recently did a home inspection for me. I found him to be very thorough, knowledgeable and patient. I used Jeff at Top Notch Home Inspection when we needed a home inspected recently. He was available right away and did a very thorough inspection of the home. We had the report back in less than 24 hours. He inspected the sewer and have us our own personal video. Jeff has taken SEVERAL calls from me and answered all of my questions. Instead of just charging me for a re-inspection because I didn’t know better, he gave me good advice for free. He has integrity, and is a real nice guy to boot.
